On Monday, the Visiting Nurse Associations of America filed comments with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services regarding the proposed FY15 Payment Rule for Hospice. The comment letter was crafted with significant member input and is available here. The letter details a number of VNAA concerns and proposed solutions on a wide variety of issues impacting hospice and palliative care reimbursement including payment reform, quality measures, Part D drug provisions and more. VNAA made hospice advocacy a top policy priority for 2014 and this letter is a significant document for the organization.

In related news, Inside Health Policy reported today (subscription required) that CMS may release the proposed FY15 home health payment and conditions of participations rule this week. VNAA is tracking both proposed rules closely and will alert members when they are released. As with the hospice payment rule, VNAA will solicit member input for their comments.
