Last week, VNAA submitted comments to CMS on the proposed 2016 home health payment rule. If finalized, the rule would cut Medicare payments to home health agencies by $350 million in 2016 and implement a value-based purchasing program. VNAA strongly urged CMS to rescind the proposed case-mix adjustment payment cut and, while supportive of value-based purchasing, recommended that CMS make a number of substantial modifications to the program.
