VNAA’s board of directors recently completed a strategic planning initiative to review the organization’s vision and mission statements and to develop new strategic goals to guide work on behalf of the nation’s nonprofit home health, hospice and palliative care agencies. The final strategic plan is now available for review by VNAA members on the VNAA website. VNAA board Chair Mary DeVeau and President and CEO Tracey Moorhead will host a briefing call tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2:00-3:00 p.m. ET for VNAA member CEOs to learn more about the development process and the final plan. CEOs can RSVP for the briefing call by emailing Rebecca Schmitt at email@example.com.
VNAA’s new strategic plan highlights four strategic goals: advocate appropriate access and reimbursement; research and promote improved outcomes, cost, value and individual and family experiences; lead innovation and transformation in new care delivery and payment models; and engage, connect and share knowledge, information and resources. Key objectives, priority initiatives, tactical exercises and individual metrics are included in the final plan to guide achievement of each strategic goal. The new strategic plan will guide VNAA’s efforts through 2015.
VNAA surveyed member CEOs in June 2013 to obtain feedback on opportunities and challenges confronting nonprofit home health, hospice and palliative care agencies. Survey results, combined with one-on-one interviews conducted with non-board member CEOs, provided insights for the strategic planning initiative. Please contact Tracey Moorhead, President and CEO, with any questions or comments regarding the new strategic plan.
