In mid-October, the Visiting Nurse Associations of America (VNAA) sent dues renewal invoices and letters asking members to continue their investment in VNAA for 2014. The renewal notices included a summary of the benefits members received in 2013 and some highlights of what to expect next year. Every member strengthens VNAA. With the continued support and participation of members, VNAA will remain focused on delivering the best possible advocacy, leadership and education for the home health and hospice industry.
Over the past few weeks VNAA has focused on policy work including the sustainable grown rate (SGR), which made it through committee in both the House and Senate, and delaying the impact of the proposed CY2014 HHPPS Rule. VNAA’s Advocacy team works to ensure that policy makers are well informed and championing on behalf home health and hospice agencies. 
These advocacy activities are only a part of what VNAA pledges to do on behalf of its members. VNAA’s new Strategic Plan positions VNAA as the unique, rich resource for an objective perspective—to policymakers, payers and purchasers—on standards and best practices for nonprofit home health care services. All of the activities and benefits that result from the Strategic Plan bring value to your continued commitment to VNAA.
