Last week VNAA set a new record for attendance with over 70 attendees at its Northeast Regional Meeting in Hartford, Conn. in partnership with Hartford Hospital. Affiliate members, state associations, prospective members and associate corporate partners from the Northeast came together for two days for updates and presentations from VNAA leadership and thought leaders in the nonprofit home health and hospice industry.
The agenda included an update of VNAA advocacy efforts in Washington by President and CEO Tracey Moorhead and a preview of a new benchmarking database to be launched by VNAA in January. Vice President of Quality and Innovation Margaret "Peg" Terry presented updates on best practice development for home health and hospice, including the VNAA Blueprint for Excellent and the 19th edition of the Clinical Procedure Manual.
A number of VNAA members and sponsors presented innovative case studies in behavioral health programs, care coordination in community healthcare and financial best practices for revenue diversification and reimbursement programs. The two day meeting also included a well-attended networking dinner for attendees, who had the chance to interact with VNAA staff and associate corporate partners on a one on one basis.
VNAA will host two Regional Meetings in 2015 and encourage members and associate corporate partners to attend to meet with other home health and hospice leaders in an intimate setting and share regionally-based successes and challenges.
