VNAA Activities: Membership May and VNA Week

Thursday, May 1, 2014 kicks off a busy month at VNAA including our inaugural “Membership May” affiliate member recruiting drive and National VNA Week occurring May 4 – 10. As we all celebrate the rich history of our nation's home health, hospice and community health providers, let us also draw attention to the national organization that supports, promotes and advances mission-driven, nonprofit providers of community-based healthcare; VNAA.

As a member of VNAA you understand the value VNAA brings to your organization and our providers bring to their community. Now is the time to let your peers know about that value and that your collective voice only gets louder as VNAA's affiliate membership grows.

VNAA staff has put together tools for your use as you reach out to local media, your communities and your fellow providers around these initiatives. The VNAA “Ambassador Tool Kit” provides talking points, a flyer and a presentation to use as you see fit when speaking to potential members. The materials on the VNA Week site include talking points, a sample press release and advice for working with media. None of these documents is intended as a script to be followed verbatim. Rather, these documents are simply a guide for your outreach. Feel free to use them in a manner that is comfortable to you.

Many activities are occurring in conjunction with “Membership May” and VNA Week. If you would like a calendar of those events, please let VNAA staff know. There is also a continuous social media campaign you are invited to join. Please make sure you are following VNAA on Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook. You are encouraged to Tweet, Re-Tweet and share information you feel your peers should know about VNAA and VNA Week.

All of us are looking forward to the collective success of this month. VNAA's staff is always here to support you providing additional information. Just let us know how we can help by calling or emailing Chuck Koch, Ashley Durkin or Leah Dawson.
