Subcommittee on Health Explores Medicare Payment Reforms for Seniors

The Subcommittee on Health, chaired by Rep. Joe Pitts (R-PA), scheduled a hearing for Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at 10:15 a.m. in room 2123 of the Rayburn House Office Building. The hearing is entitled "Keeping the Promise: Site of Service Medicare Payment Reforms." Mark E. Miller, PhD, Executive Director of the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission will testify. Other witnesses are to be announced.

Currently, Medicare payment structures vary for different care locations. Payment reforms would streamline and simplify the process to provide more consistency and certainty. Legislative proposals to adopt site of service Medicare payment reforms will also be discussed at the hearing and will be made available online here. The Majority Memorandum, a witness list, and witness testimony will be available here as they are posted.
