CyberSecurity Risk & Compliance: Understanding how to protect data and still be able to use it
CyberSecurity is critical in today's connected world, but where do you start and how do you sustain a secure system that is compliant and still usable to provide patient care? Senior living organizations generally maintain data for members of our population that are the most at risk for identity theft, which means that your digital environment is a prime target for bad guys looking to steal that information. This session is designed to give you an understanding of the 20 top security controls that can be put into place and examples of breaches within the Health Care industry that could have been prevented through the application of these controls. After this session, you will have the knowledge to discuss security strategies with your internal Information Technology or external service provider to better understand what your current security posture is. Compliance with regulations and guidance from HHS and CMS is a byproduct of solid information security practices.
By participating in this program, attendees will gain an understanding of the top 20 critical controls for CyberSecurity and compliance.
